Thats not true i was emailing with the guy for a week when i bought my desert enchi and he only had 2 crappy pics of him up so i asked for more. Theres been more then a few times ive bought snakes after asking for more pics. Im not going to waste my time meeting up just to meet up and see the snakes what it looked like in the only pic posted

Yeah, CL can suck a big wet grape sometimes. I've heard a ton of horror stories like this and dread the day I'm ready to sell baby snakes. I have some reptile tanks which are needing to go on CL but I've been procrastinating that task.
Haha I have some tanks to sell on their too, but definitely dreading the process as well. Gotta get these stupid tanks out of here though. Ugh hate them so much.

Ugh don't remind me, I have a few that need to go as well.
I'm of two minds if the seller has bad pictures. For a non-local sale... I just pass on the animal. If it's local, not selling, and I see the price dropping, I'll go see the animal in person. A couple of mine best deals turned out to be really nice animals but the seller took bad cell phone pics, so there was almost no interest in the ad.
Otherwise... lookie-lous and tire-kickers abound in all industries, not just reptiles. Dealing with them is just a part of being in retail.
