    And super noob question, what do "flames" refer to? When I do a google search the only thing that comes up is the flame morph.

    Since humans aren't robots that like the same thing,I would take the "common sense" approach and get what you like.

    I look at color, pattern and contrast. Then I consider what designer morphs I can breed and what qualities in those morphs will come out great. Buy with the end in mind. It is all about planning and design and then finding the right specimen. Invest in quality and what qualities you want the designer morph to have.
