I don't think that's often a consideration for BP's, though in perusing info on the Retic Nation I've read that certain "lines" of snakes are known for being a bit difficult...

IIRC rat breeders also cull the ones that are known fighters, or don't rate high in the "plays well with others" department, so... why not snakes?

I have a snake that loves being out and scratched under the chin and petted on the head. And if you know ball pythons they don't like their head touched, I'm convinced she's different. So despite what people say, I think some do like the attention and like to be loved on. That's my opinion, others will fight tooth and nail to prove they don't.

They don't call them "pets" for nothin'! ;)
If I massage my corn, she poops...
If I massage my ball python, he'll hang out for a few minutes seemingly comfortably. He is head shy so I can't say he enjoys chin or head scratches, although I haven't really tried all that much. He doesn't seem to care if I touch his chin but he's iffy about the top of his head. Or anything overhead. I don't think he's a fan of birds.

But that's super cute about yours, OP! I hope I get one in the future who likes chin rubs as much as yours. :)

We drove down the road the other day and Dinker stuck his head out the window. I swear he has dog genes
