no never had no clutches b4 / so I cant say anything about anything changing
yes I was trying something new
how could the snakes consider a drought if there tubs where not in a drought there was then enough condensation built up in a one corner of the tub from where I sprayed down the spag and the tubes keep more then enough humidity in there .. I actually kept my tubs with a little extra humidity because I took out the bowl .. so ur telling me since there was no water bowls in my tubs my snakes identified this as a drought even thought there was always enough build up of water to never simulate any kind of drought ...

I don't have all the answers im just tired of hearing all u talk crazy about the water bowls .. n like I said the water bowls have been back in the huts

Just to point something out... condensation on the corner is not like a water bowl. Breeding females need quite a bit more water than a non breeding female. They use the extra liquid to help form the eggs. The lack of water bowls could have had an impact on the amount of water they were able to drink and how much they could retain for egg production. I have noticed with all breeding females I have ever had they drink a lot more and pass urine a lot less. Not bashing what you tried but doing what you did could have forced them to not produce at all this year.

Your female may be one that needs( wants ) to be cooled for a while before she produces eggs. I tried 3-4 years with one female never produce (even with all the locks I was getting) My wife was set on cooling down this season and I got 7 eggs ( one infertile and a slug) all cause we cooled down. I was all set to write these snakes off as sterile..

a german breeder just produced a video about how to set up racks.

and he says too much belly heat destroys the sperm and leads to slugs, or may even destroy the follicles alltogether. so he puts the heat mats over each tub, on the underside of each wood panel. with, for example, 7 heat mats for 6 tubs. he says it leads to a warmer area on one side of the tub, but only moderate warmth will come through from below as belly heat. he also provides a humid hide and a large water bowl.

so maybe belly heat and/or a cooldown does have something to do with it. for mechnut a cooldown period works, and the german breeder says he does it by reducing the amount of belly heat by changing the design of the racks. so a large water bowl on the cold side might also help because the female can use it to thermoregulate.
