    Nothing is wrong with 86 degrees...my room is at 86 degrees and I have no issues. If you are using hotspots though then you dont need to keep the room that warm but if you want to..by all means do it.

    I had heard if your ambient is 85 or so you do not need a hotspot. I personally do, but then again my ambient isn't that hot.

    I got a rat pup and may or may not have left with a pastel het pied.... Mr spa should eat the pup since that's what he was eating. I'll update in a hour or so

    Not even a strike on the rat pup... He's still spooked by the presence of it. He just needs to settle more. I left the pup in there for about 5 hours and nothing became of it. I don't like feeding live, something weird about it, but i would rather the rat die naturally than by no being near its mother or other means, so i fed him to Dinker. I will just annotate everything in my records and see what happens next week.

    If he is in shed then that is likely what the problem is, aside from the fact that you didn't really give him time to adjust to the new digs.
