Mine will bypass the f/t rat sometimes and focus on my hand! I guess she is really, really hungry on those days and wanting a larger prey!!!!

Great!!!! I get excited every time I feed and my snake eats!! I fed last night and it took her about 3 minutes of sniffing over the rat before she started.

6/7 ate last night.. My pied girl who was on almost 70 days off food ate a live rat pup, and everyone else either ate live rat pups or f/t jumbo mice except my best feeder my normal bp female she didn't even bother coming out of her hide she probably isn't used to the move or wants a live mouse . whenever she refuses f/t throw a live in there done in seconds. Unfortunately the store didn't have any live mice big enough. My boas both ate large rats both happened to strike them and take them into the water bowl

Well there is a bunch of things wrong with this, One if hes a new pick up, why feed him in bright day time, when everything is visable and he is not secure, Second those hides are terrible, just go get black box's, feed at night, or just drop the rat in his hide, come morning it will be gone.

I didn't have any extra of the reptile basics black boxes so I used an old hide from my old tanks. It's my quarantine rack so I just use my old hides in the tubs. Also he ate a mouse when I left it over night. Last I fed during the day because my job I get home at 7 everyday and I got off early so I had plans for the night so I fed earlier, all my others in quarantine have no problem with day time feeding. He is just not like other ball pythons, he doesn't do the ball he hisses and strikes since the second I brought him home.
