I still think if they can't be bothered to clean the snake they found dirty, before they take pictures for a potential buyer, that says something.

Even if that IS sprayed, dried urates (and how it sprayed in multiple directions at one go (look at the picture - the streaks go multiple directions - and to equally cover around both and edge and 90% angle, I dunno), you combine it with the condition of hte tub and the fact that they couldn't be bothered to clean the tank? Yeah, I'm with other people noping right the heck out of there. That doesn't speak highly of things like disinfection practices or quarantine ones. Maybe they're fine, I dunno, but I wouldn't be risking it.

I would be more concerned with the Chinese writing on the newspaper then the urates on the tub...Where/who are you purchasing this snake from?

That doesn't bother me as much as the dirtiness. My friend's family is Vietnamese, and growing up his parents only ever had Vietnamese papers they bought at the local Asian mart. So I think there are valid excuses for that.

Its a gorgeous snake i suggest, in my opinion that you look past the owners flaws and look at the beauty of that snake. Anyways i am sure you will better maintain that snake.

Thank you everyone for your replies. When I first saw the pic my eye was drawn to messiness of the tub. But I figured hey maybe she just went -but after reading the replies I agree I would not have taken a picture like that to send to someone. A clean snake and tub would have been first precedence over the picture for me.
Again thank you and I have decided to pass on her. Husbandry was one factor in the decision.

That pic(minus the animal), looks like pics I've seen from Evan Stahl. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-toilet05.gif

Well on the other hand you could always look at it like a possible rescue. If it is not very well cared for you should get it and give it a better life style.

That only encourages that behavior. Don't reward it.

So very true. Just gives them more money to buy more animals they aren't going to clean up after.
