GTPs are known to be not very handlable, so I guess that could be your deciding factor...Do you want it as more of a display animal or a handlable one?

I really don't want a morph, I'm not a big fan of retic morphs. . . I don't really care if it's more of a display or handleable snake, if I did care this wouldn't be so hard! Lol
Since you ask seem to agree that the retic is overpriced I think I'll either the one of the baby chondros, our I might just wait.

    GTP! Those babies are killer.

A captive bred GTP, like the ones above, are handlable. But not until they are over a year old. It's the imports that can be nasty. Of course there are also individuals. Just make sure your set up is ready to go.

If it was me I would get one of those babies.

For a GTP I would go with 08 or 16

Dang! I only paid half that for my gtp. And I agree, retics are no walk in the park to jump into. Go with whatever appeals more to you. But maybe get some hands on with a retic before you jump in. And captive bred doesn't assure a handleable temperament in a GTP. Locale seems to play a small part, as well as individual personality.
