    12. They don't tear up the furniture, chew your shoes, scratch up the door.
    13. You don't have to get a pet-sitter to go on a short vacation.
    14. They don't require annual shots or rabies tags.
    15. They don't bark everytime someone on tv rings a doorbell.

    ok i know you all think that snakes arn't bad luck but if you are catholic like i am and my family then you would understand the reason and thanks for the posts

    they are low maintenaence, balls and corns have some of the best temperaments, they can be very educational as far as activity and feeding habits go, they can prepare a person for future responsibilities other than herps,are really a joy to own, and excitinng for the whole house hold, and as far from what i can see hasn't really given any one i know any bad luck.

    I was raised catholic. Even though I'm really not anymore, my family still is and I've never heard anyone say snakes are bad luck. That's superstition, not religion.
