Re: Ball python feeding, schedule/record keeping app? Interested?!
I'm glad to see the interest here!

I was unaware of Snake Keeper. The only issue I have with it is that's only available for iPhone. My best direction would be to first support android and iPhone simultaneously then the captain always goes down with his ship by finishing with Windows. The idea would be mobile is the primary input and on-the-go checking/notification. There can be a web interface but that's unfortunately not my ball game-I'll bring in a friend for that when the time comes. My ball game would be to include a desktop application as well that would sync up with a central data transfer and storage site. I have a handful of ideas Snake Keeper simply does not do, it's also very basic at best. Needs more functionality and simple and seamless integration with your life.

This will be highly possible as per my plan. Thanks for that input and I will be sure to include it. Having just replaced my phone 3 times in the past year I personally know how crucial it is to have backups available! :P

Funny I found this. These guys wanted one 4 years ago for android - the most accessible mobile platform, yet there isn't one out there? With this kind of interest, I as of yesterday have started so keep an eye out here. I will keep updates and post on my progress!

QR Coding will most likely not be included. I can see it's usefulness if you're a serious breeder and/or business, but for the moment this will be more designed around your average owners. For those making profit and have 1,000's of snakes I would support the desktop application as businesses do not run and function primarily on a mobile platform. Then it include a proprietary bar coding system and algorithm for tracking each individual snake, the phones themselves would just be yet another tool in the shed of the many required to run a business.

Yes! Need an android app. That's the system I use, so the Iphone apps currently available are useless for me. I haven't bothered to look for anything for Android though, so no idea if its even out there.

    Update
Work opened up, so I've begun! I am unfortunate to say for some of you that this will be first released on Windows Phone. This is my phone of choice and can't squeeze in development for more platforms at the same time. Once the Windows Phone version 1 is published. I will probably port it to android, then iPhone.
