My roommate pulled the outer frame of it off. My dad came over and dismantled the whole thing and was able to pull the top metal portion she jammed herself into down so I could grab her. (it was the piece that holds the pipes above it in place and the coils below it) It was a fight to keep a hold of her because I couldn't fit my entire hand in the gap. She was hissing and twisting like crazy and wouldn't let go off the metal in the back. Got Rinsed her off and she's now white again and eating a mouse. I'm so freaking happy. I really just want to run outside screaming it to the entire world.

A very disgruntled and dirty pied girl.

Sounds like you totally ruined her fun adventure! Glad you found her though.

Thanks guys! I wish I'd of taken pics before they put the heater back together. Where she was was just crazy. To get up there was a vertical climb around the heater. I wonder if she was up in the wall for a while. She wasn't in the actual heater and we don't even have it hooked up to run it. It's one of those really old dangerous ones. It was super drafty up there. I'm just amazed she went for that area when there were so many more hiding spots around where she escaped. Heck the mini fridge with the warm motor was only two feet from her cage. I'm throwing that 20g out and she's in the other half of the T8 (Allure on the other side of that one).

I'm just so freaking happy. I've been super cranky whenever people would ask me if I found her (which was at least five people a day). It's like no no I haven't. Trust me I'd be bouncing around telling everyone. My boyfriend and roommates have put up with me crying, digging apart everything and looking through their things, and me whining for the past four/five days. Definitely making it up to them. And I can't thank my dad enough for getting that entire thing apart. I'm so glad she happened to plop down (from I assume up in the wall to on top of the heater) when we were in the living room.

One thing is for sure I'm paranoid as heck about the enclosures now. Those T8s have the keys in them now, tubs I've triple check are all the way pushed back, and the clown girl's tub for sure has it's handles latched. Never want to go through this again.

Glad you found her. It is nerve-racking, to say the least, when you lose one.

Wow, I'm so glad you found her!

They are little escape artists, especially at that size! When my kingpin was about that big he squeezed out of his tub, and the gap was no more than a quarter inch at most. He did have a bunch of pink lines on his belly and back at his thickest part, so I'm sure it was a long and difficult squeeze. He was close by behind a dresser, but it still freaked me out. I ended up moving him to a very secure little viv I have. He's back in the tub now but way too big to get out at this point (he's about 800g now).

I've had my mojo boy escape when I used a glass tank, found him in a shoe box tucked away in my closet. Tough experience especially when you found him above a heater! Glad he is ok.
