I found my normal male on Kijiji for dirt cheap. I don't know what it would be like where you live, but I find a lot of the breeders in my area post their normals on kijiji for next to nothing. Although I didn't buy mine from a breeder, he is still in perfect health and I love him to bits:)

Hope you find the little guy you are looking for!:snake:

I DID find a rep show coming up, that I may check out, if I can get one of those days off work. It's not close (gas would be more than shipping), but it might be cool for the experience, anyway. ...Odds of me walking out with one snake though might be pretty questionable. LOL.

What is your location, we are not mind readers but that is a handy piece of information that could help.

Look at your local FB reptile forums. See who is breeding, period - there's a good chance they produce normal males and females as well as morphs.

I'd vouch for a reptile show being a good "experience" I went to my first last summer and am going to a second in April. You can use that trip to pick up cheap tank decor / furnishings and f/t feeders as well. I got about 6 months worth of f/t feeders at the July show and picked up my first two snakes...Was only planning on one snake, so yes, that is an issue.

You may find a cheap morph at a show too, if you end up liking the look of a morph just as much or more than a normal, odds are you could pick up a single gene morph male like a pastel or mojave cheaply at a show too... A dealer *might* even throw in a male normal very cheap if you buy a morph male...Not that you're looking to come home with two snakes. ;P

I am in the New River Valley, Virginia.

And yeah, the Reptile Show sounds really fun. I ordered a metric TON of frozen feeders when I got atlas (LOL) but finding some tank stuff could be cool, too. (I DO NOT NEED TO COME HOME WITH MULTIPLE SNAKES. I DO NOT. ...but they're so easy and neat and- Yes, potato chips is a good analogy.)

Try here: http://www.vaherps.com/forum - I think there are a few members in your area who either breed BP's or they will know who does.

All that talk and I found a male pastel with all his equipment on craigslist. I'm gonna go check him out tomorrow. I'm not the most experienced person, but I'm pretty good on mites, RI, and healthy weight. Guy sounds like he knows what he's doing, too. (Feeding record and stuff).
