You ordered in OCTOBER, sent HUNDREDS of dollars and have had NO reply to your emails or calls. I'd call and email and say its the final time before you dispute the payment. How did you pay? I've heard and seen he has horrible customer relations and communications but this is absolutely ridiculous and takes the cake for the worst I've heard. Hopefully you get your money back and something for compensation.

Wow this is definitely going to make me avoid him. My rack is from Animal Plastics and the customer service was outstanding

There are a couple of things here. First and foremost, I think the common courtesy of an e-mail or answered call is certainly due.

Somebody mentioned Jeff standing on one of the plastic cages. I believe that is the rhino max plastic (HDPE) which is not the same plastic the normal cages (PVC) are mode of, but instead the rack systems. I would never stand on a boaphile.

I called and have spoken to Jeff once. He is a genuinely nice person. I may have gotten lucky as I've not heard many good stories on the communication front. At the time I was inquiring about caging and was given very basic info and not really wowed by the sales pitch.

I ended up going with Ed Lilley's cages from Constrictors Northwest (Pro-Line) and can't say enough about his customer service, cages and the plastic he uses. He called me when I was putting it together to see how it was going!! I just ordered another, and he's actually customizing it for me at no extra charge.

Just to show I'm not all about Pro-Line which I do really like, I also have communicated with Ali from AP by phone and e-mail. Animal Plastics also has EXCELLENT customer service and nice cages.

Self assembly became a non issue due to savings, and added height of the cage as both AP and PL offer cages over 11.5 inches tall for better prices than the standard boaphile. I would be happy with Pro-Line or AP based on customer service alone. I know there are some other cages out there too.

I really do like the aesthetic look of the boaphile cages, but the plastic is just not for me and I need a little TLC when I'm spending $$$.

I really feel bad for people that are all excited with maybe their first snake and first real cage, that send their money and then end up in limbo. It may seem minor, but to a first timer with a new snake and a lot of worries, there are certain things that put the mind at ease and somebody answering a call and telling you "Hey I'm running this far behind" or "I'm building yours now" Goes a long way.

I know you WILL get your cage/cages. The business is reputable and a great many folks swear by the cages. It's just really upsetting, even as an outsider not doing business with boaphile to see so many people saying the same thing.

More than likely you'll come home one day and all your stuff will be there and work perfectly for you.

    Good luck!
