A combination of both probably it's a matter of seeing what works best for him.

Get him to eat then in 2/3 months if you want to switch him make sure to make the tank secure and see how it goes if he refuses again then you will know what to do. :gj:

Guys! Good News! Darwin ate! yay!

I got a larger feeder, a rat pup, but he was on the smaller side (The lady in the store let me hand pick the one I wanted, I really like the shop I use.) And I warmed him up in some hot water just to make sure he was warm enough. Darwin was in his hide when I came over so I took the rat and kinda shuffled it around the tank a bit, let it dance in front of the hide a bit, till Dar's snoot started to poke out, danced it around a bit more and then he striked! The first time I gotta admit, kinda jumped a bit and I dropped the rat, so he missed. But I picked it up pretty quick and then Darwin got him, and I'm soooo happy.

Last week he clearly wasn't comfortable or ready yet in the new location. Thank you all for your tips and advice. I am so relieved.
