    Scary.....if I hadn't come to this site......I wouldn't have bought one.....the man at petsmart said they make the UTH better now and don't require a thermostat!

    I did...changed her to paper towels...turned off UTH...and ordered everything! :) (I feel so dumb that I didnt have anything to monitor the UTH temp with...the person who gave me her tank with the UTH said to just leave it and every website I read just said to have one. Hopefully this will serve as a lesson for everyone to alwayssss have a thermostat for UTH...because it is a nasty, awful thing if you don't...your snake will suffer and it's absolutely not fair to them! :(
