Yeah, these have definitely not been proven to be compatible yet. I know some people are selling their animals as ultras, even though they may be criders, because there was a lot of hoopla about them being listed as a caramel albino, which they still are on WOBM. A lot of people are there are trying to be Miss Cleo and predict things that haven't been proven, like "they will totally prove out to be compatible". I mean, with Axanthics and Hypomelanistics, it's been pretty apparent that similar looking animals may not be genetically compatible.

I've heard of two breedings (I've done a lot of research on this as I am working with the actual ultramel line), a het to het breeding and a visual to het breeding; although, there were some people that had their concerns about the validity of the breedings.

The end of the day, you should do research on who the breeder obtained his from, who they got theirs from, and so on back to the line. The internet can be helpful also when trying to research the lineage, as there is some info on where some of the better known breeders obtained their original stock from. I know Vin Russo has the Crider lines, Don Patterson and Justin Kobylka have the ultramel lines that trace back to Noah. I'm hoping to get a visual male before the end of summer, and I'll definitely want to research the ancestry to be sure before I throw down cash.
