    I usually feed him a few days after he has pooped out his last meal and has been active again. However he has not been active and considering the large meal he had before this period of inactivity I was concerned with impaction.

    If s/he is producing urates there should be no huge concerns.
    I wouldn't be waiting a month to feed though... maybe start with that.

    I really can't say that anything sounds odd with you BP. Mine do this around shed-time.
