Mine has that too on top of his head. Just a tiny spot that at first I thought I was imagining. He's fine and he completed his shed so I'm guessing it's okay.
The black scales of a normal can be slightly iridescent. So maybe that is what you are seeing. This is exactly what you are seeing. Very nice looking snake and great pictures.:)

My butter has the blueish iridescence too. I don't have a picture though...

I'd say it's normal. I took my ball python out a week or so ago, and he had such an extreme blue iridescence I could barely even see his pattern. o.o I really wish the camera could have picked it up in its entirety, because it was awesome. He's not normally that brilliant, but he does usually have a nice iridescence to him.
