I got lucky. I like to use my real name, I figure that way people will know I'm being up front and honest right from the beginning. Don't get me wrong, if you're going to have a nick name, it may as well be cool and the internet is a great place for it...where else can a person decide what others call them? In the real world people get STUCK with nicknames, online people PICK them.
I was just lucky enough to register on this forum about ten minutes after it's creation. I've seen other Brandons on here but they all have something like Brandon.0 or Brandon.4 HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I WIN!
Okay, I'm kidding, just being an ass. I really don't mean anything against the other Brandons it's just that I've never won anything before...
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA......HA

Okay... I really didn't write that I'm being "an fanny" that must be one of those administrator things. I really wrote "BEEP". LOL

Smulkin dubbed me Smynx. He calls me "mynx" sometimes - it's my favorite pet name. We put an "s" in front of it because Smulkin and Smynx sounds better than Smulkin and Mynx. I'll let him tell you where Smulkin came from.
My avatar showed up on a google image search when I was looking for Uroboros. It's not biting its tail, but I like it anyway.

I have always liked nature and am interested in the idea of greenman. Greenman is a pegan diety that is supposedly the link between nature and man. My avatar is a greenman image.
If you ever go to England, they have greenman carvings and statues on buildings.
Pegans helped build some of the catholic churches and added some indescrete greenman carvings on beams or in the corners. Thought that was kinda interesting. Pegan diety in a catholic church...

Funky, skulkin', smirkin' - mix it all up and add in a dash of Poor Tom's "diabolical rant" from King Lear - viola!
(was at Bogarts in Feb and visited Don Hamper in Colombus on the return trip to pick up benny and betty lol!)

In desparate need....
Greenman, Catholics incorporated a lot of pagan symbology and ritual into their faith when they were trying to convert the pagans to Christianity. Easter and Christmas were originally pagan holidays. The Catholics decided it was in their best interest to let the pagans keep their holidays if they were going to get them to convert, so they decided to celebrate Christ's birthday at Yule and Christ's resurrection at Ostara. Did you think it was coincidence that All Saints Day is celebrated the day after Halloween, aka Samhain? The Virgin Mary is the mother goddess. There are countless other ways paganism was incorporated. The chalice used at Catholic mass is the same cup used in pagan ritual. Can you tell that I'm a Catholic/Pagan crossover? It's absolutely fascinating, really.
