LOL. Glad he was patient for you. That's an important quality. And good for you for thinking about the tippy-ness ahead of time ;)

Well, thanks for all of the help. Things seems to have come under control. Again, it is a tough day to judge it because it is hot & humid even right now at 11pm here in Brockport. However, moving the heating pad over a little bit seems to have helped in conducting some heat over to the cool side. I want to avoid having to make the extra adjustements to the rubbermaid to stick a light in. With the old glass tank, I had to stick a heat lamp on the cool side just to keep the temps right.
At any rate, right now the humidity is really high in the tank but there isn't much I can do to change that because it is just so humid out here right now. She is intrigued. I have enjoyed watching her explore her new enclosure. She is tryin to figure out what the heck is goin on! :)
I do have a whole other problem now though... Empty Tank Syndrome! I gotta start workin Nanci over to agree to a new herp. Perhaps an African House Snake?

Haha, I'm already wondering what to put in my 20 gal tank once Pelota outgrows it in a handful of months. I'm thinking corn snake, because they don't require too much space until they're adults, and they're simple as hell to take care of. Especially compared to a ball.
Anyway, good luck with the new setup. Sounds cool. Wish you'd get your hands on a cheap digi camera so we can see some pics. At our local Walmart they have an uber-cheap digi cam for 30 bucks. It's a low-end camera, but it'd be perfect for pics for this site. Takes 640x480 pics. Company is Vivitar. Maybe you could look out for that next time you're around Wally World. ;)

Empty Tank Syndrome is a good problem to suffer from! Glad you got the temps worked out, and I'll bet the humidity will straighten out too. Here's some ideas for new herps: African house snake, crested gecko, blue tongue skink, Brazilian rainbow boa, rosy boa, Mexican black kingsnake, rankins dragon. :)

Things seem to be workin well with the new set-up. She is explorin the heck out of it & no doubt lookin for a place from which to escape. As far as the empty tank syndrome, i have PLENTY of ideas. Ever singe Jonah & I talked about it many moons ago, I have really wanted an African House Snake! I can keep a male in my 20 gallon for life. The problem is workin Nanci over & convincing HER that it is a good idea to get a new herp! LOL! I'll keep tryin...

I think an AFH is a great idea. :) Good luck w/ convincing Nanci. Maybe if she can meet one in person, it might help. Glad to hear the new setup is working out. I found it difficult to get some of mine right at first, but once I got them, they were a lot easier to maintain
