Got her setup sorted out n think she likes it, she didn't bite me but then again I didn't give her time to, just keep the handles short for the minute n gradually make them longerhttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/04/nupyhaju.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/04/teguhyzy.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/04/aqusedu2.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/04/suvegy8e.jpg

That's a nice looking enclosure. Might want to think about giving her something to hide under. Especially since you just moved her to much more open viv. Might help her relax and not be so nippy.

Unless the room, or you, smells of rodents, she wont think it's feeding time.

The feeding response is chemically (scent) triggered.

So don't worry about her biting, she doesn't think you're food, she's just more scared of you than you are of her.

I always use a hook to let my animals know it's not feeding time. No, their bites don't hurt, but I don't want them ripping teeth out on my skin. I show them the hook, or touch gently on the head, and that does the trick.

    Great looking housing.

After uncovering the snake I give them a few seconds to adjust before I touch them. I always move my hand from behind, but stand in such way that they "see" me. I stroke their side with a finger then gently pick them up. I don't pick them up when they are in "S" mode. When I first got some of them and had to pick them up no matter what their behaviour was (e.g. spilled water bottle and mess) I would cover them with cloth and just move them in and out. I have 11 snakes, not one bite or even attempted bite as of yet..
