    that's terrible. it's great that they have these shows to help educate people about reptiles, but it defeats the purpose when the person presenting the animals isn't really very educated himself. he was way out of line to snap at your son. unbelievable.

    Yeah, you gotta love those snake-keeping "professionals" who cram a bunch of snakes in one too-small cage with no hide and a dry waterbowl, and then strut around their pet shop telling you that they own a few rattlesnakes and a black mamba. Hah!

    The husbandry at Alligator Adventure actually appeared to be quite good. There were no thermometers or hygometers visible, so I can't speak to that, but all of the reptiles had ample room to move about and generously sized water dishes - even the giants. The enclosures were similar to what you would find at a zoo, and the animals appeared quite healthy.

    Jody, if the last time you were in Myrtle Beach you came home with a son, it's been too long since you've been there!

    We were gonna go this year but my son wanted to check out Ocean City so we just got back from a week there.
    ( The offical summer my son discovers girls ) UGH!!!!!!

    wait, where is this place in Myrtle Beach?? i was there a few weeks ago and i woulda LOVED to go there!!!! i'm going back again for Spring Break. it's not like the Herp shows that move around, is it?? thats no fun, i would love to go there while i'm back in SC again!!!!

    it is at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle. Have fun! The kids loved the place, ofcourse, Todd packed the digital camera and not the charger. We took pics on a disposable, haven't gotten them yet.
