putting a damp towel over the cage works so excellent..especially around shed time. misting will raise the humidty for an hour at most...putting a damp towel keeps the humidity at an awesome level....if it gets too high, just fold the towel a little or don't dampen it as much.

THe only con with newspaper that really bothers me (granted I use it in the tupperware) is the lack of "traction" the snakes have on it - the almost have to resort to anchoring and pushing off of heavier items like the waterbowl and a lot of times when curling up in a hide will drag it all over lol. I know this is nothing really detrimental and i risk anthropomorphizing but it seems like it would be akin to putting us all in fuzzy socks and then on a hyper slippery floor. Otherwise cleanup is a cinch - as is being able to tell when it's TIME to clean/swap paer - i haven't yet had any problems with bellies being disclored from inks, though to this point i've avoided (for no really good reason) using colored ink pages.

Im a big fan of the repticarpet. It looks good, no traction problems, no worries about ink, easy to clean. When it gets soiled, I just shake the urates/fecies in the garbage, throw it in the washing machine and plop my spare in and I am good to go.
