Sorry about that. I too have experienced the meaningless death that sometimes comes to a Wc herp for seemingly no reason. At least you made his life comfortable while he had it.

I didnt see him until last night (my wife originaly found out and called me). From the looks of things he died in pain :( It looked like he thrashed around quite a bit and he had blood in his mouth. Do you guys know what this might be? I thought IBD, but he didnt show any symptoms prior to his death...

You could have the vet do a post mort on him to find out the cause

what substrate did u use because i have heard of snakes choking and dying on on rept bark u knowwhen they eat their food it tiurns side ways and won't go down and the dtruggle eventually starts to cause the chip to cut the throat and eventually causing the snake to choke to death on it's own blood. i may be an idiot for posting this but my friends baby corn supposedly died from this.

had him on reptile carpet. Didnt feed for me in the two and a half weeks I had him either, so it couldnt have been choking or impaction. He was an ok weight though...
