    Perfect, this is exactly the sort of thing I was considering! Glad to know it can be done. I'm hoping if I cut the hole right using a soldering iron, there won't be much room for heat or humidity to escape from.

    Just out of curiosity what material is your mesh screen made out of? I have some similar looking stuff but it's a silver color.

    Its a normal silver mesh with some coating on it I believe. Its the normal mesh you find on regular glass terrarium lids. I literally cut it out of an old one. :)
