    I think the main thing to remember is that foil tape is specifically made for use around high heat, and it's better to be safe than sorry. Right? Not to mention, it's a bit less of a pain in the ass (in my opinion) than duct tape! :P
    And the OP is attaching a UTH, not heat tape.

    Speaking of foil tape.. I don't know if any of you have issues with your foil tape not sticking to the tubs. Mine keeps peeling off, for some reason. It's the aluminum foil tape that's used in HVAC. Got it from Home Depot and whatnot.
