Thanks again for the great advice guys!
I found a lamp with a dimmer and a clamp for a good price, so I went ahead and got it and a 150 watt ceramic heat emitter bulb. The area where the tub will be is right next to a bookcase so I can clamp the lamp onto it where i need to. I will keep the stand in mind if I decide to change the location though.
I will see how the setup works and if I'm not happy, I'll look into RHPs.
