    I dont think it's necessary if your humidity is good all the time. But I've noticed it helps even if you do have good levels

    We keep the humidity around 50-60% all the time and really never have a problem. Remember though there will always be snakes out there that will not shed a full sock every time no matter how much humidity there is in the room but 90% of ours shed full socks.
