    Understandable....I'm a veterinary student finishing my undergraduate pre-vet degree at Ohio Wesleyan, it's very unusual that the vet from A&M wouldn't suggesting using a humidity monitor. My specialization is herps and I'm getting a separate degree for herp medicine, and one of the very first things I was taught was to always have a heat and humidity monitor in herp tanks to ensure their conditions are optimal. I find it really odd that he would have disagreed.
    Anyhow, looks like everyone gave you some great information. Good luck! :D

    yea i think that he was trying to save me money or something (which money won't be a problem) he just suggested that i have the waterbowl on the hot side under the heat lamp and the humidity would be fine.


    Good luck in finishing your degree plan at Ohio....It's good that the knowledge you are learning you can already put to good use.
