    Re: Aspen Harmful if swallowed?
Try feeding her in her enclosure with a crawler rat. It has no teeth so it can not harm her. Leave it in over night and see what happens. You want one that has fur on it already and is kinda chunky looking but eyes not open. http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs40/i/20..._by_kez245.jpg that is a pic of one that would be pretty much exactly what I am talking about. I do not own that pic just got it from a google search.

Sometimes if I have trouble with finicky feeders I like to pre-scent the cage the snake is in by putting a little bit of dirty mouse/rat bedding in there about 5 minutes before feeding. Helps get some shy snakes in the mood before I place the live feeder in there. I'd definitely try this with a rat crawler like TCexotics suggested!

I put my hatchlings on aspen and they have all ate their fair share of aspen  Sometimes they have an issue and I notice them holding their mouth funy, which means it got stuck and they need help. I pretty much do the same thing you do, open their mouth and pick it out. I wouldn't worry too much about them ingesting aspen, it's pretty harmless and a very soft wood.
