Violins have to be one of my all time favorite stringed instruments.
The music they can make is just stunning.
Don't get me wrong, I love guitar like crazy too! :P

I love to hike in the woods behind our house, and just be away from the loudness of my job in the city. My boyfriend and I hike almost daily in the good weather, and even sometimes in winter, but we mostly snowmobile since that's sometimes the only way you can get around up here in wintertime!
I love art; I paint and draw, mostly in acrylics but also in watercolor and oil. My main subject matter would hafta be horses and landscapes, and I have designed several tattoos for a few friends of mine and myself. I also recently got into airbrushing, and it's cool; I collect these Breyer model horses, buy broken ones REAL cheap off ebay, and resculpt and airbrush them to sell for more later.
I love outdoor stuff. I do mountain biking, and we go horseback riding when money and time permit (which is definately NOT often enough. Other hobbies that I partake in are walking on the beach (yes, western NY does have some beaches, though most of them are pretty sad lookin'), hanging out with a few close friends we have, and generally relaxing and recuperating nightly frrom 9-hour days spent at work dealing with customers, which I hate.
I love... no, wait, I LOVE music. My favorite band is Type O Negative, and some other bands I like are Slayer and Depeche Mode (quite a contrast there, hehe.)
I could babble on about my interests for days, but I think this about covers it. :)

Ever been to Beaver Island?? I've gotten my share of sunburn there...but yes, I must agree, the beaches up there are rather sad.
