    No, we do not have a screen top... They're all in drawers in plastic containers with holes drilled in them. The wood is particle board with smooth plastic (not sure what it's called) on both sides. Also, none of the others have that. I haven't noticed him rubbing his nose on anything. I'm wondering if maybe it was from his rubbing his nose on the bag he was in? Should I take him to a vet now or wait till he sheds?

    Like Doolittle said it looks like rubbing or pushing. I've seen something similar in a snake that was constantly pushing against the glass of his cage trying to get out, you might want to try taping up newspaper or otherwise blacking out any transparent areas that he thinks he can go through. Keep an eye on it until his next shed. If it doesn't seem to be healing up, see a vet then.
