My suggestion would be to see what combos you like best, and then buy a female that will help you breed towards that goal. If you like something with the pastel or lesser or butter gene pick it up. If you like something more along the lines of the calico, sugar, enchi lines get one of those.

Butters are pretty too. But a quality lesser also has a lot of yellow.

These are camera phone pics from my old iphone. She is larger and even brighter now. She gets more yellow and her blushing gets more intense the older she gets. I need some updated pics.

Ultimately, it just depends on what combos you want to make.

butter and lesser are the same. Just started from two different imported versions of the same gene. They make all the same combos when mixed with other genes.

Good to know. I think I'm gonna start looking on the forum for a lesser girl. I also need to ditch my 40breeder and get a ap t12. If I split it would that be big enough for both snakes?

A t8 is actually perfect for two adult BPs. BPs won't use the height of the T12 and can sometimes cause heating issues. Plus the T8s are a quick ship item, so you don't have to wait 3-4+ weeks for your cage to ship out. Also T8s are much cheaper, which you can put towards accessories or RHPs or your new snake.

I do believe that lessers and butters are the same thing. In any mutation, you get what you pay for. I sold his babies for $300 each. They seem to get better and brighter with every shed!
