Simple, he's figured out you're the type who will pay the overinflated price for a sick animal because you feel sorry for it. Your only recourse is to not reward the seller for poor behavior and husbandry by walking away. Unfortunately it stinks for the animal.

Just tell him you're not interested, and give him the contact info for a local reptile rescue in case he can't rehome his overpriced sick animals before he has to move.

Just did that...he said hes not going to go to a rescue when someone will buy them so I said good luck and have a nice day and deleted his number. At least I tried.

It really sucks for the animals but the best thing to do is not reward these people with cash or even taking on their problems. Who knows where he got these guys from but this is why we breeders really need to be careful with who we sell animals to. More then likely these are imports or C.H. from gravid imports though. It takes a real idiot to think they are going to make money by breeding normal Savs. I hope you thoroughly showed your contempt for him in keeping these animals like this and not seeking vet attention.

I started out nice trying to point out issues I saw, but the problem is he just didn't care...

I don't think many people care as much as they truly believe.

The moment people stop buying these animals, is when they will have a better shot at life, and stop being mistreated, fact is 99.99% of bosc monitors sold/brought in as pets- have no business being here, but people still buy them, people still rescue them, people still do XYZ. Until that stops.. the bosc will suffer.
