Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but if last years pairing was a Lesser male to the Normal female than the "I don't know" could be retained sperm. Since a Lesser would throw both the Lesser gene and the Normal gene, the Normal female could have retained a Normal gene sperm from the male last year, and could then throw a normal. Even though the Ivory was introduced it wouldn't have had any effect on that egg.

    Thanks!
    Ok so here's the scoop.
The chances of retained sperm would be astronomical since I got 6 females that look very similar to the one I shared.
What are the odds of a snake retaining sperm from a codom lsser and throwing 6 normals and all females?
The clutch had 7 snakes but one died crawling out of the egg.
    Theoretically possible, very highly unlikely.

I really like the spider super stripe.
Definitely one of my favorites, and a powerhouse female when she's of breeding size.

    Great looking animals Jerry.
That enchi is hot and the "I dont know" is very interesting to come from that pairing.
    Thanks!
Yeah I'm only holding this one back, since it had the nicest pattern, the rest went to friends.

really really nice, i like the spider superstripe, and i like the comparison shot with super stripe and spider super stripe. thats really interesting.
It's pretty amazing what spider does to the superstripe, quite unexpected.

Amazing looking animals Jerry! I think that firefly might be from the same clutch as my male Bee. Brandon definitely produces some nice yellow animals.
    Neat!
Yes he does, I love how bright his firefly's are!

Clutch pic, the only one that didn't make it is the bottom right one.

These are preshed pics, they have since shed and 4 of them have new homes.
I kept number one and gave it to my daughter to raise.
When number one is up to size for breeding I will probably breed a super specter to her.
I'm just not sure if they are yellowbellys and if they are they are the oddest looking yb's ever, lol
The male and female that produced the Ivory are super flamed up yellowbellys and not reduced pattern at all.

The ivory male that produced that clutch had a brother that I sold.
The brother produced a clutch for it's owner, Ivory X normal

I am not trying to be argumentative so please don't take it that way. I just find this very puzzling. The odds do seem astronomical for the results to be as you described. Mind you, I am not the final word on all things YB. We have a couple of them and have hatched a couple clutches of them. However, looking at the pictures of the hatchlings, I do not see anything that looks undeniably YB in heads stamps, flames, or belly markings. If they are not YB, the odds that an Ivory could throw 7 snakes that aren't YB would seemingly be as astronomical as the former notion.

Quite the mystery and I look forward to the final act.

Those IDKs are the weirdest yellowbellies I've ever seen if they're yellowbellies. I dont think they're all normals though. What's up with the ivory? Background, previous clutches?
