Mind blown.
I agree 100%. Thats why i enjoy watching MY snake eat. Idont know why i dont really like watching feeding videos. Sometimes i watch just to see how other peoples snakes eating habits are.

Just don't go into the comments section. I don't go out of my way to watch them but if I'm just going through videos on youtube and find one, I'll watch it. If the person starts in with the stupid comments, abuses the live feeder, or has loud music blasting in the background, I exit out of it.

its one of the things that amazed me about snakes and lizards growing up .. the hunt .. to be honest i hate feeding my snake in the tub its to easy .. i love the hunt just how it zones in and creeps up and bam .. one of the reasons i was always attracted to reptiles .. i feel bad sometime for the prey especially when it starts screaming .. ahh that kills me .. but i knew what i was doing when i got into this ..
anyway on topic but off .. my ideal snake room is going to be its own room set up like a dam jungle .. im gonna have my bp's on display a little pound trees all that .. and feeding time is gonna happen like im watching tv ... set rat free .. set snake free sit on bean bag and watch the hunt .. might sound crazy to u .. but that would be my favorite place in the world

My BP will only eat live, but my other reptiles will take everything f/t. I like feeding videos for the educational value, since they really were helpful in getting some of my 'problem animals' eating and also when I first started keeping reptiles. I don't especially enjoy watching live feeds but I always watch until the snake gets everything down just in case there is a rodent bite or something I need to deal with. It's neat to actually see them hunt live though. I have one guy who eats f/t who will literally just hold his mouth open for the food. Cute, but not that interesting.
Ugh. The comments on feeding videos are ridiculous.

Yes, the hunt is the best thing. A legless animal, the serpent that inspired the dragons of mythology, that manages to methodically hunt and kill its prey, silently and swiftly with the tactics of an assassin. This is the awe inspiring serpent, an animal so surreal, yet it is not a beast of fiction. This is the snake.
Probably the most unusual, yet most beautiful, animal of the sub-phylum Vertebrata, if not the whole Animal Kingdom.

Gymnothorax tile are pretty amazing as well as all "moray" eels with their pharyngeal jaw. Pretty cool stuff, and very snake like.

i dont particularly like feeding videos, they just dont do anything for me. except maybe when its a video explaining how to get them to feed, and the feed scedule and stuff, or a tutoral on when and how to assist feed or something.
i prefer videos where they just show nice freshly-shed BPs and explain things about breeding and keeping them and about the genetics.
but its a matter of taste.
for example, i also dont like egg cutting videos, you just dont see much except veins and egg white, but i do like it when people show off clutches of hatchlings, after they are out of the egg or post 1st shed.

You're leading a precarious existence if you think a snake needs to be venomous or over 20 feet to demand respect.

Depends. I generally don't watch videos of people feeding their own snakes. I can watch mine eat for that.
Snake's eating in nature is different. I've always been fascinated by what they can eat. You look at the animal, you look at the snake...no way is that fitting. Then suddenly there's this amazing transformation and the animal is soon a lump in the snake's belly. No hands, no tools....just an amazing feat of muscle control and...stretchiness (for lack of better word).
The smaller ones are interesting too. A lot of them don't constrict and aren't venomous so they just overpower and swallow...live and whole. Even something as non-grand as a northern water snake eating a frog can be interesting to see. How something with just a mouth and a tube of muscles can catch, overpower and swallow whole a live animal without killing it first just fascinates me for some reason.

I said I love the power that snakes such as those demand, like on a level light years above a big BCC or Yellow Anaconda.
Trust me, my 12'+ 35lb yellow girl demands respect and I know she could kill me if she caught me right and I was alone, but even she is nowhere close to the power of a huge retic or green girl, or venomous for that matter.
And I respect all my snakes as well, but that level of power is awe inspiring!
