Maybe go by this .. your average adult mouse weighs 25-30 grams weaned rats sound about right Id say I try to feed approximately 10%-15% of the body weight of the snake, 300 Gram snake = 30-45 gram meal this is just an approximation .. but the percentage rule is a good way to get an idea of what it should be eating

You could be feeding weaned or small rats. I'm just going to go ahead and pull this picture out every time someone has any doubt on what their snake can take. My bp does this every week:

looks like its time for a weened rat :) They arent very much bigger then an adult mouse. You might want to consider buying bulk online. It can be hard to find the right sized meal at the pet stores sometimes... :)

the pet store i went to just got their first shipment of rats...i picked out the one i figured he could handle...and this really cute girl put it in a box for me...a little kid came up and said "eww..u like rats?" and i said "no, but my snake does"....and when this really cute girl started to check me out (as in....total my order) she was like.."so you have a snake huh?...how big is it?" and i told her it was about 3 feet.....but hey, now jeeper is pickin me up women.

point of that story...i don't know yet....lol

lol... ok, im gettin weaned rats. for now, since the adult mice she's eating are too small, im going to be feeding her twice a week until they're gone. then i'll get some weaned rats... thaaaaank u!
