Red tail boa color change

    Beautiful! I love motleys. And I love how drastic boas change in a day. My boa can be almost silver with greys and pinks (like in my avatar) or a really rich gold color. There are so many reasons boas are my favorite, and the beautiful color changes are one of them.

    Your boa has the cutest face, btw.

    Sorry to bring a old thread back but I have a quick question about my motleys color change being temperature related. If hes on his cool side which is 75-77 degrees he is always very dark in color and his belly turns white to brown and the white scales on his lips and head turn black. And if hes on his warm side (90-92 degrees) he is very light and a light silver-ish color with no dark speckling and dark appearance. Is he turning dark because he is cold and trying to absorb light? Im not sure of this he is not shedding since he just did about two weeks ago when I started this thread.
