Yup, some warm water usually is all it takes to release the beast.

Not surprisingly enough, not even an hour after my initial response to this post my little guy releases said beast all over his warm hide. Was a blast to clean it!

This does lead me to a question, though.. What is a good way to really clean a hide? I have a rock hide (I'll replace soon enough, but for now..) that I got from PetCo. I tried cleaning it with hot water before and without even any scrubbing the finish started rinsing off. So I don't like physically cleaning it anymore.. Any suggestions?

I use this style of hide from LLL Reptile. Easy to clean and disinfect. No rough surfaces to struggle with.

My ball python looked similar to that, and I did what you did. Put him under some warm water, couple minutes later it was coming out. xD

I use terra cotta pots I popped a side out of. It makes for a real cozy hide. There are people that use everything from a half log (I don't like them) to a special hard plastic hide you can get from reptile basics. I just get the terra cotta pots pop out a side so it makes a small opening then they have a good hide. They clean easy too lol.

Lol sausage buts yeah :) My normal picked on a weird habit of waiting with poo till we put him on our bed. Then he just explodes :P So after the second time he did that we bought a blanket which is plastic underneath for occasions like that :P

So he somewhat developed a habit out of it. Weird snake :P Doesn't want a smelly enclosure or something. He rather messes our bed up, and enjoys the show after when we have to change the bed again :rage: He hardly ever does it in his enclosure, i guess soft sheeting associates him with poo time :P
