Could be anywhere from 4-36 hours. Or sometimes they unlock and then start again, I have two that have been at it since saturday (today is wednesday) and I keep missing the window when they're separated to put them back in their tubs lol.

I've had mine stay locked as long as 24 hours, or as little as 8. They usually aren't in much of a hurry to finish. :D
