    It has kinda already been said (feed if they take, great, if not, oh well) but my experience with blue:
    I will feed when they are going into shed, or right after blue before they come out of shed. Sometimes they eat, sometimes they don't, but they are offered. I personally do not offer when blue because that is when I usually see them not take the rats. With mine it is almost guaranteed they won't, so I would rather not guarantee a rat be wasted. Based on my experiences, to help you save rats, I do not recommend feeding when blue, but otherwise during the other times of shed, I have the same advice that has already been said.
