having a pets a responsibility. If you can do what's 100% necessary to make sure there happy..then don't have a pet.
Srry man, dont mean to sound mean or whatever, but I'm a big animal person. I make sure that I take Careof them to the fullest and give them what they need to live full happy healthy lives. If I have to do adjusting to my life then I will do s. thats what comes with having pets IMO
anyway,thnx for the advice
I will thank you in the future to not judging my husbandry tactics, of which you know nothing about. My animals are well cared for and loved unconditionally. I made a recommendation based on your description, but your has zero correlation to mine.

It's whatever works for you and your snake. I don't understand if your uth is on it should make your glass tank hot enough for belly heat for your snake. If you checked it and it was cold maybe it got unplug the night before. that happen to me around thanksgiving and was wondering why my snake was always on the cool side while keeping a 60watt red bulb on the cool side she was able to get enough heat at least 82 and inside the hide the heat was pushing 84. :)

No,I unplugged it in the morning when I woke up...and removed it.
actually what happened was I woke up this morning and the thermomenter where the the pad is was reading127 degrees. The probe from the thermostat which was tapped to the pad fell of,cause I messed with the tape before I went to bed and guess it broke free...so I unplugged the UTH immediately .left the bulb on and removed the UTH..

Uth and heat lamp
If all is working well and your snake is happy, I wouldn't change anything. As long as your temps are correct and your snake is eating and shedding well leave it alone.

EAC,they both eat like pigs, never refuse a meal, there shedding is no problem what so ever. Heat and humidity is kept where it should be regularly, except in shed when I bump humidity up to like 80 for a few days. But like you and Jessica said, why change. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I'm going to leave things as they are.
tanks temps are 82-86 hot side and around 78 give or take cool side, hot spot I keep around 88-90

Re: Uth and heat lamp
I use a UTH to maintain the basic ambient temp more than a hot spot and an infra-red lower watt bulb to provide a hot spot on my guys in glass tanks with no trouble. If the bulb blows while I am at work the tank temps are kept within reason by the UTH.
But, if your home is reasonably warm and you keep spare bulbs on hand I can't see any reason why you need to change anything. And, to be honest if heating was totally taken care of other ways I would still be looking for an ultra-low watt Infra red just to watch them at night just before feeding days when they cruise the tank like they are on a rat killing mission.

I've got quiet a few extra bulbs on hand,so if one goes I can replace right on the spot, not that they may be the watt I'm using, but as a temp replacement for a few hours or a day,I'm good to go.
yes I use at night an infra red bulb already,my other tank I use the black light heat bulb, cause yeah he does like to come out and do his exploring for an hour or two. Definitely cool to watch, kind of mimics them In there natural habitat. Plus I think it's good he gets to stretch out and move around.
yeah through the cooler seasons my apt stay within73-70. I can keep it to 80 but if so imma then put the AC on lol, cause I'll be sweating..so my apt does stay very warm and comfortable. Right now I have my heat On at 73.my tank temps are great humidity steady..yeah man,I'm having no problems,so I'm not changing anything except for my tank location..they are right near the window and right next to the heater....so end of winter I have a place I may move them to but not sure cause I have no outlets there, well I do but already have 100 plugs plugged in. So I hag I figure something put,I have an idea
