Well the better looking set-ups I find are more maintenance. So, it becomes a trade off. The exo-terra water dishes look more natural but because of the surface finish take more to clean than a glass or glazed ceramic.
Reptile Basics hides look less natural but due to the ease of cleaning, and the opacity they are still a winner in my book for BP keepers. Although, in a display set up I would be inclined to hide then with fake plants.

For substrate I mix repti-bark with eco-earth. This is an easy to spot clean mix that is difficult to over water while still helping with keeping humidity up in glass set-ups.
