    The site is missing chart for chicken ;) Mine also had to diet on them for two weeks when rats/mice were not available at local store :P

    I am unable to get rats the size i need. All i can get are medium rats. I know rats are nutritionally better but mice are all that's available in my area

    Your snake can do fine on multiple mice.

    As far as I know, no study has been done on the nutritional requirements of ball pythons. Rats are preferred because they're easier, not necessarily because they are better.

    Just make sure you are feeding him enough mice at once.

    That's no problem really, my one female won't eat rats, strictly mice. Just start to feed two mice for now, when you see her gaining weight up the amount of mice accordingly. :)
