There's a hide on each side. I took out the hot side one while he was eating. Thats why you can't see it in the picture.

Re: Yay!!!
My question is.....do I mix up the substrate when I mist? To get the stuff underneath too? Or just the top layer? I don't want it to get too wet.

No you don't have to mix it. Just spray the top of the substrate lightly.

Hahaha, my friend bought one for his bearded. Anytime he has a get together he's always tryna find out who's hot or not... And yea, alcohol is typically involved. :p

What Spencer said.
What kind of substrate are you using? I get my eco earth pretty wet when I mist because it soaks it up real well. I dont drench it, but its definitely a bit more than a light mist. Also around the sides of the tank, on top of the hides, on decor, etc. After a mist it goes up to about 85% (sometimes higher) but it will level out around 65% and doesn't drop below 50 for several hours. Also a 10G tank though...

I'm using EcoEarth. Its very finely shredded stuff. I don't think I've been getting it wet enough. I just misted so that it LOOKS wet/darker & I'm at 60%. My house is pretty dry & drafty, so I also have to use a red light on the cool side to keep that up over 75, so that's drying things up quite a bit.
