That is fine so long as it dries easily...I find moss for Python regius to do more harm than good honestly, nice well saturated substrate that dries throughout the week has produced perfect sheds for me.

Keeping my snakes on reptibark, I start noticing that if they've been a while without a shed. It goes away when they shed and I only see it happening if they decide to go 2+ months without shedding.

A friend of mine in Kansas is currently misting every other day for his glass cages...everybody else is in tubs and are fairing well with the saturation method. Granted he is dwelling in a thermostat controlled apartment.

I'm not really sure what to expect with Kaa right now. He's dry feeling, and his scales are sticking out in certain areas more then normal, like his belly and his sides. Is he going to shed soon? His eyes aren't blue or cloudy, and I'm afraid adding moisture to him may cause further problems with his health right now. :\

Just keep his husbandry in the ideal range for BPs and that will clear up with next shed, as Nikki mentioned. If it eases your mind, move him onto paper towels and monitor his humidity to make sure it doesn't go too high or low. X2 on damp bedding that dries throughout the week to release humidity in tanks, works well for me.

My guy sheds fully but not in one piece,but always completely on his own...I'm trying different substrates myself...aspen and coco husk,next is Eco earth..but I have coco husk I one now and he is in deep shed,so I added water to the coco husk and added some shpagnum moss around the tank,guess I'll find out when he sheds how right I did it

If you want to ease your worries a bit, you can put him on paper towels and just keep humidity nice & moderate at ~50-60%; however, be ready to give him a good soak when he comes out of blue.
