I personally wouldn't worry about her weight as young as she is. As long as she is eating and being fed well it really does not matter. Some seem to grow super fast, some don't. Being she is not refusing meals she is going to grow at her own pace anyhow. I have 1.1 pastels that were clutch mates from around the same time that I haven't weighed, however they both started on frozen thawed, worked their way up to frozen thawed adult mice the female took 2 every time the male took 1 every time. The female is over double the size of her clutch mate brother. also the male just straight up stopped taking F/T and will only take live. LOL they seem to be more in control of their eating than I am.

This one is ok with f/t mice (taking two every time she eats) but won't take rat dead or alive. I have a male enchi that is her same size and is already taking small rats. Do you have any ideas to make the change from mice to rats?

I wish I had a better answer for you. However some ball pythons will not take rats. I have a 1600 gram female high white piebald who is perfect in every way except she ABSOLUTLY WILL NOT TAKE RATS. I have tried and tried, she eats 3 to 4 large adult mice every week, one right after another, she strikes 1 I put another in 2 mind later she takes that one and seriously she puts 4 of them down in under 10 minutes. then my 700 gram bumblebee het pied male will eat anything I put in with him, live mouse frozen thawed mouse live rat frozen rat. whatever I have he will eat with gusto.

I have simply come to the conclusion that she just simply doesn't like rats. I've fed her mice bigger than the smallest rats I've given her and it makes no difference. I put a small rat in there for an hour watching it go in and out of her hide and she just avoids it. within 30 seconds of putting a mouse in there she is rushing out her hide to get ahold of it.

Tell me about it! With this bee I thought she wouldn't take rats because she was used to f/t mice so ai tried live rats but nothing. She has an incredible feeding response but only for mice. Hope she eventually gets rats or i will have to link rats after the mouse on every meal.
