Problems with humidity in tank

This is what I have going right now. The foil covers everything except maybe 1/2" around the heat lamp and is held together with foil tape. I've seen him in the cool hide only twice I believe, usually just chills in the warm one. I don't think he'll use the shed hide honestly, but do you think it will at least help some with humidity? Or is it just taking up space?

You can place the moss around the hot side hide and even a little in it

Thanks! Yeah I re-did the moss a few days ago so theres much more surrounding the sides of the cool hide as well as the hot. Also added a mound surrounding most of the water dish. Do you think the "shed hide" will help w humidity at least?

I know my guy really wants to shed but the humidity keeps dipping to 30-50%. I just added damp towels on TOP of the tin foil which is on the top of the tank... Really hoping this will finally hold in some moisture. Tell ya though, soon as this damn shed happens, buddy is getting a huge meal and a fresh habitat immediately.

Just keep misting the moss around the tank. If he's that deep into shed put some of the moss right into his warm hide.
Yeh eco earth saved my sanity when mine was in a tank. Again buy the bag, it's a lot easier. The brick it a complete pain in the butt. The bag is only a buck or two more than the brick.
Brick you need to completely wet then let dry out cuz you can't put it in there enclosure soaking wet.

Mist as much as needed to keep the humidity up to atleast60-80 on the reg,that's what I did for my guys first shed,no problems at all.

why would u put the damp towels on top of the tin foil,lol...I put my damp towel directly on top the screen. I would think putting the damp towel on the screen and then covering it with the foil if anything would help to keep the damp towels moisture in the tank..I don't know what the damp towel is doing on the foil. Seems pointless.

Oh it felt/feels extremely pointless.. I'm just tryin anything at this point man. His eyes have been milky for several days now so he should shed fairly soon. I drench the sides of the tank once every few hours as well as mist the substrate, moss, etc.. Been at 60-68% for the past couple hours *knock on wood*

Dude just keep misting the tank,remove the tin foil on one side and place a wett towel,not soaked an drenched but when on top the screen.. That's how mine is set up..I wet every morning before work and when I get home..on avg I mist one time a day. But when in shed I mist as many as I can to keep the humidity up as high as I can ,preferably around the 70-80 range..plus where do you have your hygrometer set? Maybe it's set in the wrong place...

i also added a bowl bowl filled with damp shpagnum moss next to the water bowl to my tank and that's helping big time..being I have aspen I don't wanna leave the moss on it cause aspen is known to mold,that's what I have read atleast. Hence why I keep it stuffed in a bowl
