    Sounds great! You will want a humidity bump during shed time, so just open your windows. ;)

    this morning the humidity reading was 57%. those analog gauges are way off. you guys were totally right about the digital thermometer/hygrometer being a necessity. i don't know why i didn't just get one to start off with. no kidding about opening the windows too--that alone could make for a perfect shed every time :)

    It's unfortunate that the gauges are as inaccurate as they are, but good that we have an inexpensive alternative. I'm in GA, too, and when I moved a few weeks ago, I was battling too high of humidity for my balls in my basement right off the bat.

    Is high humidity (over 70 all the time) actually bad for them, if the overall cage itself is dry? I use an air exchange during shed, the cage stays dry, and get complete (almost WET) sheds every time.
