The second or third time I got my female ball to eat, she did it from the climbing limbs I had in her cage. She was on the limb when I put the mouse in, figuring she would get down and go after it, but she immediately began tracking it from her 'perch'. To my surprise, she grabbed it up, constricted it, and ate it all while hanging from the branch! I thought it was quite the impressive display from a ground dweller!!
